EJOO FIBRE (Ejow)
Very strong, dark-coloured fibre, found at the base of the leaves of the sago palm in Malacca. It does not rot in water, and is used for cordage, cables, etc. The plant is the " Gommuti Palm " (Arenga saccharifera) and grows to a height of 20 feet to 30 feet.
